SHIBARI ARTIST

Drawing upon elements of kink and tantric practice with the rigour of shibari dojo training as a base, the themes of Von Riga’s kinbaku are passion, provocation, poetry. Being present to each moment, intuitive in one’s choice of what to tie, and deeply connected to one’s tying partner is key. Thereafter, simply to tie, tie, tie, allow these themes to find fullest expression.

Von Riga can be found curating events and performing rope Australia wide, as well as instructing weekly at their teaching space, Soul Rope Studios.

Serena Melanie has developed a personal sound that blends different generations of styles to create a truly unforgettable experience for her audience. Her musicianship has allowed her to curate sets that are both technically impressive and emotionally resonant, with her blend of classical and electronic training sitting at the core of her energetic performances.

CIRCUS / CONTORTION

Charli is a multiversed Circus performer, having travelled around Australia Judging, performing and coaching various specialties. Charli was crowned National Champion for Aerial Hoop in 2023 and has performed on stages across the country in cabarets, festivals and corporate events, including alongside acclaimed musicians Timomatic, The Veronicas and The Killers.

Prepare to be mesmerised and enchanted by the burlesque bombshell, Brooke Bird. You’d be forgiven for believing you’d travelled back in time to watch Brooke. She is a magnetic and captivating performer reminiscent of Hollywood’s golden age with sultry, bewitching moves and a big splash of old-Hollywood charm. She will deftly steal your heart and leave you begging for more.

CONTORTION

Sparkly fairy costumes and masked street theatre is where the love for performance art began. Over the years, self taught hand balancing and contortion archery, which led into the professional world of circus and performing internationally and nationally.

Hauswife is a Berlin born, Melbourne raised musician, DJ, producer and sound engineer. With a life-long background in music and classical and jazz piano, she has quickly risen in the Melbourne scene. In only 2 years of DJing she has built a reputation known for opening for international headliners. Her ability to read a crowd and provide unfiltered energy has made her a household name in Melbourne and a resident at Melbourne’s biggest nightclubs. She delivers a genre-fluid sound that pays homage to electronic music’s heritage whilst imprinting her own unique personality. Her releases take on a natural feel for the warmth and moodiness of lofi and Chicago house, characterised by diverse influences from her background in live music. Hauswife’s palate constantly evolves with an open minded music philosophy, seeing her play anywhere between 125-140bpm. No two Hauswife sets sound alike but one thing remains consistent: absolute groove. She continues to prove herself as a powerful figure in dance music with a momentum and following that is swiftly expanding.

Ophélie Mercury, a French DJ and producer, has mesmerised audiences worldwide with her provocative techno mixes, from Paris's prestigious nightclubs to Melbourne's vibrant dance floors. Her decade-long career has made her a respected figure in the electronic music scene, where she skilfully blends deep, emotive melodies with tribal rhythms and psytrance, creating captivating and immersive soundscapes.

Ophélie's journey gained momentum in Paris's iconic clubs, where her unique style and fearless music approach led her to perform at major events and tour extensively across Europe, including Germany, Spain, Austria, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. Moving to Melbourne, she became a leading figure in its music scene, securing a residency at Eat the Beat and performing alongside legends like Carl Cox, Reinier Zonneveld, Bart Skills and many more, proving her versatility as a DJ.

Her talent extends to production, with anticipated releases on labels like History Recordings and Xtrxx. Ophélie's participation in the Amsterdam Dance Event further solidified her global presence. Known for her energising performances that forge deep connections with her audience, Ophélie Mercury is a beacon of creativity and inspiration in the techno music world, continually pushing its boundaries.

Australia's Anthony Pappa is considered one of the nation's biggest electronic music exports. From launching his illustrious career at the young age of 15 years old in his home town of Melbourne to rising to the top of the global DJ elites, Anthony's journey has been a personal and infectious ride, a ‘love letter’ to his fans and the music he has devoted himself to for over 30 years.

In 1989, a youthful Anthony entered the prestigious Technic’s World DMC championships, the pinnacle of global DJ skills competition, the coveted event and a revered award. At only 15, he closed the gap between the old guard and new talent emerging out of the rising electronic music scene.

With a long and esteemed list of recordings and various iconic mix compilations with scene stalwarts such as Renaissance, Stress Records, Bedrock, Platipus, Yoshitoshi and Balance, Anthony also naturally gravitated to the recording studio early in his career, producing some of the most iconic singles in the last 20 years. With countless releases credited under various guises, selling over 500,000 records, singles and compilations, Anthony has consistently raised the bar in Progressive House and electronic music globally, earning his revered status amongst fans and DJs alike.

Following the success of his Global Underground album “Nubreed” this then led him to the top tier, A list level of international touring DJ’s. Residencies at iconic clubs such as Renaissance (Nottingham UK), Twilo (New York USA) and Womb (Tokyo Japan) became monthly visits for him amongst the other hundreds of gigs he was doing year in year out, racking up thousands of air miles.

Festivals such as Glastonbury UK, Creamfields UK, ID&T Holland, Extrema Belgium, BPM Mexico, Tomorrowland Belgium, SAMC Argentina, Ultra Miami USA and Exit Serbia became a regular gig as part of his touring schedule.

Beginning his DJ career in early 2002, CITIZEN .COM cemented himself in Melbourne by starting a weekly Breakbeat night at Lounge called BASS CAMP back in 2005. The success of this night gave rise to many more residencies including: 3 year at Revovler; running nights at Bimbo Delux, Lucky Coq, Lounge and E55; Events at Prince of Whales; 4 year at Section 8; 5 years at Workshop; international acts at New Gurnica and Brown Alley; weekly resident at Railway and Brunswick Hotel (The Brunny). Not to mention the growing list of Australia's premium Outdoor festivals such as Earthcore, Rainbow Serpent, Strawberry Fields and more.

Over the journey he has teamed up with many crews and event companies such as ROCK LIKE THIS, Twisted Audio, and THE BRINK, and has been responsible for many club nights and events around Melbourne and interstate.

The list of venues, events and international acts he has played and supported is matched by his diverse music collection.
